Almost every single day I get a call saying "This is your final notice. Your vehicle's factory warranty is about to expire ..." etc. This is especially wonderful as I've never owned a car.
I'm getting rather tired of it. It's technically illegal to make any unsolicited marketing calls to a cell phone without the owners consent, as well as it being illegal to have a pre-recorded message that does not identify the caller with a number to reach during business hours (the # on the caller ID goes nowhere) Hey, you can collect $500+ for each violation, woo boy! - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_Consumer_Protection_Act_of_1991 |
